For quite a while now, many of our customers have been asking why we don’t any stamped concrete displays in our Johnson County Deck Showroom. The truth is, we haven’t really had much time with the the unseasonably great weather and lack of overall precipitation. However, with the overwhelming demand for larger “touch and feel” samples of the popular hardscape, we have now decide to to just make some time to add stamped concrete to our Johnson County Deck Showroom.

In fact, we have added six of the most popular patterns coordinated with earth toned integral colors and deep, rich accents. We then applied a high gloss, slip resistant, acrylic sealer to bring out the “WOW” factor in each of the segregated sections. With stamped concrete continuing to grow in popularity, this was a no-brainer investment for a Kansas City deck builder.

Stamped concrete is a strong competitor to all kinds of decks in Johnson County and the Kansas City Metro for a few good reasons. It rivals and sometimes surpasses a cedar deck or composite deck in aesthetic quality. The deeply detailed stamp patterns available nowadays are extremely realistic, providing textures that beg one to put a hand across their surface. Integral and accent colors and sealers are vibrant enough to catch your neighbor’s eye from his or her’s back yard builder’s grade slab.

That’s not to mention that a skillfully and correctly poured stamped concrete patio, driveway or front porch sealed with a high quality product is about as low maintenance as any Evergrain composite deck or Azek PVC deck. And that means much less maintenance than a cedar deck. Just hose and broom off the stamped concrete a few times each year as needed. Then apply that quality sealer about every three to five years, depending on the climate. Oh yeah, and most stamped concrete usually figures somewhat cheaper than a composite, PVC or cedar deck.

If you’re in the Kansas City Metro and have ever thought about adding some stamped concrete, a deck, screened porch, pergola or all of the above, feel free to call 913-208-0667 to set up an appointment to visit our showroom. Or fill out a Bid Request and a representative will contact you shortly thereafter.

As i know western red cedar decks are beautiful natural looking structures. The’ll last for many years if properly maintained. Synthetic decking products have not yet been able to emulate cedar’s knotty wood grain or varying color tones.
